Really wish I would have read more reviews. Spent $350 and it performs no better than my $50 heater I bought at HD. What a waste of money. Oh and it's even louder than the one I got from HD. If it's in an area with a TV you will definitely have to jack up the volume. Absolutely not worth buying.

I JUST BOUGHT AN EDEN PURE 1000 QUARTZ INFRARED HEATER, SIMILAR TO THE SO-CALLED AMISH HEATERS, WHICH MY NEIGHBOR AND FRIENDS ALL LOVE.

MY EDENPURE HAS A 30 DAY RETURN POLICY, AND IS SOLD BY A LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR WHO WILL FIX ANYTHING FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS. EVERYONE I TOLD ABOUT IT ALREADY HAD ONE AND LOVED THEM! MY HOUSEKEEPER HAS 2 SISTERS WHO HAVE BOUGHT 2 OR 3 OF THEM THEY LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I HAVE AN L SHAPED LIVING ROOM DINING ROOM SPACE AND IT SPREADS HEAT ALL AROUND, UNLIKE SPACE HEATERS WHICH ONLY HEAT A FEW FEET. THE TRICK IS, THE DIRECTIONS SAY TO UNPLUG WHEN NOT IN USE, OTHERWISE, IN THE OFF SETTING, IT RUNS, AND YOU PAY EXTRA ON YOUR ELECTRIC BILL. ALSO, I CANNOT RUN MY COMPUTER AT THE SAME TIME--IT BLOWS A FUSE.

OTHER THAN THAT, THE HEAT IS GREAT, AND IT DOES TAKE A LITTLE TIME, 30 MINUTES OR SO TO WARM UP THE ROOM, BUT IT IS ALOT BETTER THAN OUTDOOR WOOD BOILERS, THAT COST $10,000 DOLLARS AND CAUSE LUNG CANCER. WOODSMOKE IS 12 TIMES MORE CANCEROUS THAN CIGARETTE SMOKE. SEE [...].

ANYWAY, ANOTHER GUY IN CHURCH TODAY SAID HE ALREADY HAD ONE OF THESE HEATERS AND LOVES IT. PLUS A FRIEND NEARBY HAS IT IN HER MOTHER'S APARTMENT, AND ANOTHER PERSON I KNOW SAYS IT DOES A GREAT JOB IN HER MOBILE HOME, AND I BELIEVE THOSE ARE NOT WELL INSULATED.

ANYWAY, I ALMOST DID NOT BUY ONE OF THESE BECAUSE OF THE LOUSY REVIEWS ON HERE, BUT MY EDENPURE HEATER WORKS GREAT AND I LOVE IT. I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE.


Safe and Quiet Heat

This EdenPure 1000 is very quiet and doesn't get very hot on the outside like other heaters do. Because of that, I can sleep soundly without worrying about safety. This is the most modern heater that I've ever seen. I'm going to get some for gifts for my family.

With the onset of cooler weather just around the corner it is time to think about how you can reduce the cost of heating your home this winter. Let me say at the outset that the Eden Pure GEN3 Model 1000 Portable Heater is not for everyone. If you live in a big house with large open rooms and cathedral ceilings then read no further. You'll have to look elsewhere to solve your problem. But if you reside in a smaller home and have the ability to close doors then the Eden Pure heater just might be your ticket to significantly lower heating costs.



My wife and I purchased our first Eden Pure heater about two years ago. Given the escalating price of fuel oil we felt we needed to find an alternative way to keep our home comfortable during the chilly New England winter. I spotted a full page ad in our local newspaper for the Eden Pure heater and decided to give it a try. All Eden Pure heaters come with a 60 day total satisfaction guarantee. 60 days is more than enough time to determine whether or not this product is going to work for you. We decided to purchase the smaller Model 500 unit and began using it to heat our living room in the evening. We kept our thermostat at 58. While the smaller model was OK it did not make the room as toasty warm as we had hoped. After about two months the infrared bulb failed forcing us to return the unit to the manufacturer for replacement. The replacement unit arrived just days later with a letter of apology. To compensate for our inconvenience the folks at Eden Pure upgraded us to the Model 1000 product at no additional charge. As it turned out this was a terrific break for us as the Model 1000 was exactly what we needed. To make a long story short we have since purchased another Model 1000 for our bedroom and bought another for our pastor to use in his bedroom at the rectory. We count ourselves very happy customers of this product. We continue to be very frugal about they way we heat our home and use our heating system as little as possible. I would estimate that it costs us no more than 15 cents an hour to use the Eden Pure heater. Furthermore, over the past two winters I would estimate that we have saved in the neighborhood of $200-$300 per year on heating oil. In essence, these Eden Pure heaters have practically paid for themselves.



One final note. Unlike other electric heaters we have used the Eden Pure GEN3 Model 1000 Portable Heater will not dry out the air. This is a one of major reasons we are so happy with this product. Also, this unit does not get hot so it is perfectly safe to use around little kids and pets. Finally, the unit is mounted on wheels making it pretty easy to move from room to room. I have to admit I am flabbergasted by the number of negative reviews this item has received. I suspect that most people who wound up dissatisfied tried using them in very large rooms. But if you are actively seeking ways to cut the cost of heating your home consider Eden Pure. Check them out online. You just might discover a way to keep you and your family comfortable this winter at a price you can afford. Highly recommended!

but 1 thing i think what ppl r over looking in the instruction is the humidity in you place where u r heating should b 40 to 50%

I shopped around and wasn't able to find this model for anywhere near this price. It's quieter and more powerful than expected. The 12 gal size is perfect. Would definitely recommend. The only drawback is that it didn't come with any filter bags. I had to go out and buy some before I could use it.

This is the same tool included with the replacement Nintendo DS Lite shell I just finished installing. The new shell was great, but this tool is JUNK. If you can successfully remove and reinstall the screws on one unit, one time, without stripping the heads and/or the tip of the tool, count yourself lucky.

Wish I bought these sooner!

I just finished using these poles to create a temporary wall during some plaster demolition. I can't say this enough, Buy These Poles!!!!



I had debated getting these or the Zip Wall version, which are twice the price of Third Hand, and these worked great. One of the reasons I went with the Third Hand version is that you can use these as work supports as well, where as the Zip Wall version seems to be a one trick pony and is truly made for wall construction only.



A few tips, I bought the small yellow magnets which allow the plastic sheeting to be attach to the sides of poles, this was great for creating a temporary door between two poles. This also meant I didn't need to buy those zipper doors to get in and out of the room. Also, I purchased the larger bases/feet sold on Amazon, but if you are just going to use these poles as a dust barrier, the feet supplied with the kit are fine. The four pole version comes with a carry case and does help keep all the parts together when you are done. I bought the four poles instead of two after reading reviews of both products and a few people commented that you needed four poles to close off certain areas; I actually needed all four on the first job.



Here is the only issue I had, and it would be the same issue encountered with Zip Wall. Unless you tape the plastic sheeting directly to the wall on the sides, you will have a half inch opening between the pole and the wall that will allow dust through. Zip Wall sells an accessory which looks like a long squeegee and a bracket that attaches to the poles and keeps the plastic sheet firmly against the wall or ceiling, which is another $150 bucks. Third Hand has nothing like that I could find, so, you either tape the plastic to the wall, or attempt to mount the zip wall versions to your poles, which may actually fit. If you look at the accessory, you'll know what I mean



I wish I had purchased these earlier on in the renovation since my wife and I were performing a daily cleaning ritual of the previously renovated rooms that were being covered in plaster dust each day. Based on my experiences, I cut down the dust mess by 90%, and once the taping begins, I am putting them back in action. I only wish my contractor had bought these instead of this being on my dime.

The 3rd hand does exactly what it says it will do. It is easy to set up and functions easily as well. I did a large messy sanding job in my kitchen and very little dust went past the 3rd hand barrier. Well worth the money!

No Dust

Purchased the full set, and was very satisfied. My wife loves getting the projects done around the house but hates the mess. I used the 3rd hands for holding up plastic in front of a garment filled closet while I worked on the trim and sheetrock around the opening. No dust on the clothes at all, magnets worked fine. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to keep the dust where it belongs. I will be ordering Fastcap "Doormag" clips in the future as well.

I bought these in preparation for remodeling my kitchen. I wish I could give these 10 stars! I'm doing everything on my own, so far I have used these (the contractor pack is the way to go!) for erecting a dust wall for cabinet spraying, supporting cabinets that I was removing, and installing new cabinets. As I write, I'm installing 3 layers of moulding at the ceiling--all by my little self! The 3rd hands perfectly support long runs of molding for fitting, then the microadjustment allows you to perfectly level the boards prior to nailing. One thing to note, the washers do not come with the pack for erecting dust barriers using the magnet heads, so buy some 1.5" heavy guage steel washers. Also I bought 4 sets of the FastCap door magnets (12 total)...they make it super easy to expand or secure a dust barrier in multiple ways. One more thing...don't be afraid to really tighten them up against a ceiling...I've had them come crashing down more than once because I did not tighten them enough.
